The Cottage at Windswept - A Bed & Breakfast Retreat-

Margot & Jim Justice - Herders & Innkeepers

The Cottage is a small farmhouse decorated with antiques and amish quilts.  Alpacas, Llamas, and goats grace the pastures in this quiet rural setting.

Our chickens lay fresh eggs for breakfast and Jim may mix up a batch of his famous blueberry muffins.

You might watch Margot make felt for her very popular alpaca christmas ormanents and we love to tell the history of the cottage.

Go antique hunting or visit lots of Historical sites, Museums & fabulous restaurants in Downtown Marietta, trail riding, visit Middleton Dolls or... cross the Ohio River into West Virginia and tour Fenton Art Glass, The Oil & Gas Museum, The Smoot Theater or... take a picnic lunch on a sternwheeler to Blennerhassett Island... or sit on the front porch and watch the alpacas graze.

The owner of this Bed & Breakfast has recently written a book.  Details below.

My new book is called Tails of Windswept Farm. It is a collection of six short stories about the farm as viewed through the eyes of my little black mascot alpaca,

"Alphie". The stories are true to life with a few embellishments. The illustrations were done by JD Williamson of Williamstown, WV. The tales are very nice read aloud stories and I have read them to several classes at Lubeck Elementary School. The book is available at Borders in Parkersburg. The price is $14.95.
