Ghost of Marietta's Revolutionary War Naval Hero, Commodore Abraham Whipple.  Living history performance for your group by 5th Great Grandson and physical likeness... David Paige

My Theatrical: musical, dramatic recitations( in my authentic clothes, with drum and armaments) while borrowin the body of my true 5th Great Grandson, David Paige, in order to appear "kid friendly" and so as not to put no one off, nohow in no way, by ghostly appearance....(I've been dead since 18 and 19)...

shall last for one hour, with questions and picture takin....if so desired.

I tailor the shows to the audience and do attempt some entertainin interaction.

I have performed my life story from Maine to Annapolis....from Cleveland to North Carolina...on The Delta Queen Sternwheeler to the "H.M.S. Rose", (the last of the British Frigate "Men of War" of The American Revolution)...

For:

  • South Pacific World War Two Veterans of our Navy and families...250 souls

  • Grades 1-9, children of Ohio 's school systems...( 30-500 at a time)

  • The P.B.S. 2 1/2 hour television movie "Opening The Doors West"

  •  The television documentary "Liberty Spectacular"

  •  Senior Citizens to 4th graders... (20 - 400 at a time)

  •  Aboard the Sternwheeler Valley Gem for 400 members of The Dept. of Inland Waterways

  •  For regular folks of all kinds...up to an audience of 4,500 at one time

  •  Have had the pleasure of performin my story some 327 times, to date, throughout the past five years.

I do:

  •  an "Early Settlers'" Ghost Stories show, in our famous " Mound Cemetery " around Halloween

  • Revolution and sailing stories at The Hotel Lafayette and other Marietta halls, theatres and on all sorts of seafarin boats and in all sorts of restaurants, as a dinner show, (or after-dinner show).

All of my shows are custom designed for the particular group and personalized...

My fees are generally $5.00 per head, (children under school age free), with a minimum of 20 people or $100.

(Fees can be lowered per person for groups over 40 in number).

I can give a "stand-on" bus tour commentary and show, with strategic stops at the Mound Cemetery (containing more Revolutionary War Officers than anywhere in these United States , (or stop at other areas of your group's interest)

I do an educational entertaining show within the Campus Martius, original settlers Museum .

My treatment of children is gentle and friendly, but at the same time, exciting and "piratical"...no boredom or snoozin is to be found!!  (Have three grown children of my own...my ship's crews always took just fine to me...and my 5th Great Grandson, (the body I use to make my appearances within) has three children of his own.

Why children were always fond of followin me down the dirt roads of Marietta , as I walked 10 miles each day, to ask the ole Commodore about my sea life and powerful wondrous experiences.  Let not your heart be troubled

(You may inquire as to my performances and my temperament at the Marietta-Washington County Tourist and Convention Bureau....specifically with a miss Christina Thrasher)

Thus and so!.............how may this old soul help Yee?

In the mean time...may there be "smooth sailin for ya"

At your service,

Commodore Abraham Whipple
