Signature Series

Our area holds rich layers of history that date back more than 200 years. Featuring historical districts, Victorian homes, and vintage museums that are unique to Marietta and Washington County. Plan your visit to the city where Ohio's history truly resides.

Day One:

  • Drive to each of our nine covered bridges, each designed during the 1800s
  • Retire at the Lafayette Hotel, the last riverboat era hotel in the United States

Day Two:

  • Travel through Marietta's history on the narrated Trolley Tour
  • Examine the start of the Northwest Territory and Rufus Putnam home at Campus Martius
  • See artifacts covering over 12,000 years at Belpre Farmer's Castle Museum

Day Three:

  • Tour the Gothic Revival architecture of The Castle
  • Visit the Local History & Genealogy Library to uncover your own past
