Marietta, Washington County Convention & Visitors Bureau presents the 
4th Annual Marietta Wing Thing!

Wing Tasting, Chicken Wing Eating Contest, Blues Concert, Chicken Bingo

Location: Lafayette Hotel Parking Lot at 101 Front Street (in case of rain the event will be held in the Lafayette Hotel Ballroom)

Admission: $10.00 per person includes 5 Wing Tasting tickets and sides of baked beans, coleslaw and a dinner roll.  Beverages sold separately.

6:00 Gate Opens

6:00 – 8:00 Wing Tasting (or until gone)
Over 15,000 wings will be prepared and served by participating local restaurants. Budweiser and Coke products will be for sale.

6:00 - 10:00pm - Entertainment by Code Blue Band

The Code Blue Band is a crowd favorite and consistent winner at Blues contests and festivals around the region, including Columbus , Marietta , Chillicothe , Gahanna , Cincinnati , Cleveland , and the Kentucky area.  Audiences may wonder, at first, what is meant by: 'Mike 'Captain Mojo' Newhart in charge of 'chaos''. As front man, wide-ranging vocalist, and harp assassin, Mike gets down and dirty as soon as the stage is within smelling distance. Picking up on cues like an under cover agent, Mike blends in with the crowd and becomes one with them. On the other side of the stage is OUR ONE-PERSONHORN SECTION, master of the baritone & tenor saxes, flugelhorn, trumpet, and now keyboard,  Matt 'Jebus' Stuber, who astounds and titillates the crowd with his varying throaty and squealy brass blasts. We all pinch ourselves every gig--that we have Keith 'Shoeless' Blair on keyboards--best we've seen or heard, and is a great vocalist.  Picking up the guitar is Columbus 's own Dave 'FAT DADDY' Thompson, who plays outstanding rhythm and burning lead guitar.  Setting fire to the rhythm, is young drummer Frank 'Da Freak' Lapinski. Carving out the lower frequency is 4-7 string electric & upright bassist, Gary 'The Enforcer' Mack.
