Celebrating the Birth of Benjamin Franklin

“If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead and rotten, either write things worth reading, or do things worth the writing.” - Ben Franklin

Ben Franklin is famous for his satirical wit and an ability to say things “worth the writing.”  If today’s media could interview Ben, these characteristics would undoubtedly contribute to an interesting piece of reporting.  You are witness to just such an event at The Betsey Mills Club.  Franklin, in his later years, will entertain questions about his life, experiences, philosophy and opinions on current issues.

Featuring John Walsh as Franklin, the historical figure answers questions from his centuries-old perspective.  Walsh’s stage credits include Tevye in “Fiddler on the Roof,” as well as musical productions.  He has produced and directed “Sound of Music,’ and other local shows.  With “Ben Franklin Meets the Press,” Walsh adds writing credit to his list of accomplishments.

This event is sponsored by Jan Dils, Attorney at Law.  All events of the Betsey Mills are funded in part by the Greater Marietta United Way.
