Lowell, Beverly & Waterford

Travel north of Marietta on State Route 60 along the Muskingum River Water Trail to discover Lowell, Beverly, and Waterford.  Three quaint farming communities nestled in the Muskingum River Valley since 1789.

The Village of Lowell is home to approximately 600 residents.  The Village swells with excitement twice a year to host several thousand visitors for the annual Springfest and Octoberfest celebrations held on Buell Island. Beverly, population 1,300 and Waterford, population 300, lie in the northwestern most corner of Washington County. The two towns which are counterparts of one community settled in 1789 now flank each side of the Muskingum River.

These rural communities are surrounded by spectacular wildlife, abundant river access at each historic Lock and Dam along the Muskingum River, lush golf courses, and plentiful bounty grown every year at numerous vegetable and berry truck farms.
