Powerboat Superleague on Television

Fans of tunnel boat racing will have an opportunity to relive the excitement of the Powerboat Superleague event – the Marietta Riverfront Roar - on Thursday, October 12, at 8:30 pm on the Water Channel (dish 217).  The Superleague race is featured as part of the on-going War on the Water series produced by I-Ball Productions out of California and features both the Formula Two and Formula Three classes of tunnel boats.

The event was filmed earlier this season through the efforts of the Marietta Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), in cooperation with the Marietta Riverfront Roar Committee, and sponsored by Fenton Art Glass, Hooters’ Restaurants, the Lafayette Hotel, Rossi Pasta and Comfort Inn - Marietta. Kelly Dyar, Executive Director of the Marietta, Washington County CVB, said “The Bureau was pleased to be able to partner on this promotional sponsorship opportunity.  This feature story brings Marietta global recognition as a riverfront community capable of hosting world class water sports events such as the Riverfront Roar.”

If you miss the show on Thursday evening, the Water Channel is planning a re-broadcast on Sunday, October 15, at 10 pm.
