Web site development company earns award

By The Marietta Times

Firebox Studios, a Web site development firm in Marietta, recently received a 2006 TIGAR Award for the Web site it developed for the Marietta-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The TIGAR Awards (Technology Industry Gurus of the Appalachian Region) have been given out the last four years to companies and individuals that demonstrate excellence in information technology products or services. They are awarded by the Information Technology Alliance of Appalachian Ohio at its annual meeting and awards gala.

This is the third year in a row that Firebox has taken home a “Best Web Site” trophy, this year in the newly created non-commercial category.

“Working with Firebox Studios on the redesign of MariettaOhio.org has been an exceptional experience,” said Kelly Dyar, executive director of the Marietta CVB. “The attention to detail and critical thinking applied by Firebox has made the development of our new site a painless process.”

Andrew Jones is owner and lead developer at FireBox Studios, which built its first Web site in 1996.
